Program Overview

The Control Science and Engineering discipline at the Shenzhen International Graduate School focuses on key research areas, including control theory and control engineering, pattern recognition and machine learning, and signal processing. This discipline emphasizes original and interdisciplinary fundamental research, closely aligning with the development needs of both the nation and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It supports major national scientific and technological innovations and has achieved a number of groundbreaking results, demonstrating strong research capabilities.  

The discipline adheres to the school's "three-in-one" talent cultivation philosophy, encouraging graduate students to tackle cutting-edge international scientific problems and challenges. It aims to cultivate students to become key contributors in relevant important scientific research fields, ensuring continuous improvement in the quality of doctoral education. Graduates of this discipline are engaged in scientific research, teaching, hardware and software development in areas such as automatic control and artificial intelligence, as well as management roles in finance, enterprises, public institutions, and national government agencies.


Program Features

The program focuses on artificial intelligence applications, expanding core technologies and innovative methods. It fosters talent, conducts fundamental research, and promotes industrial applications in areas such as intelligent systems, data mining, pattern recognition, machine learning, stereoscopic video, computational imaging, natural language processing, intelligent robots and space robots, and industrial intelligent systems.


Cultivation Achievements

The students in this program have published numerous high-level academic papers in top academic conferences such as NeurIPS, CVPR, ICML, as well as leading prestigious journals such as Nature Photonics, Nature Communications, Nature Biotechnology, etc. Some have received honors such as Outstanding Doctor's Thesis from Tsinghua University, Outstanding Graduate from Tsinghua University, Outstanding Graduate from Beijing, National Scholarship, etc.
