截至2021年12月，国际研究生院共申请中国专利659项、获得中国授权1844项、PCT183项、国外专利申请72项，获得国外授权42项；发表论文16820篇。获国家级奖励13项，省部级奖励62项、其他科技奖励129项。
从授权专利来看，发明专利授权总量具有明显领先优势，彰显了国际研究生院科研工作具有较高的科研水平，占据主导地位的发明专利有利于高价值专利的挖掘和运用，基于基础研究和应用基础研究的研究属性也使得国际研究生院发明专利更具原创价值，将对产业创新起到积极的推动作用。
在论文成果方面，国际研究生院成果以SCI、EI收录论文为主体，取得了大量的原创性成果积累，并在国际重要学术期刊，包括《Nature》《Science》等系列期刊上多次发表高水平学术论文。
2021年，我院8位教师（成会明、康飞宇、李宝华、贺艳兵、周光敏、吕伟、彭乐乐、郑博）入选2021年全球高被引科学家名单。
2022年，成会明、刘碧录团队在《科学通报》（Science Bulletin）上发表题为《An indicator to quantify the complexity of signals and surfaces based on scaling behaviors transcending fractal》的文章。
2022年，苏阳团队在国际期刊《自然·通讯》（Nature Communications）上发表题为《Highly Efficient and Selective Extraction of Gold by Reduced Graphene Oxide》的文章。
2022年，李佳团队在国际期刊《自然∙通讯》（Nature Communications）上发表题为《Ultrafast self-heating synthesis of robust heterogeneous nanocarbides for high current density hydrogen evolution reaction》的文章。
2022年，王勇团队在国际著名期刊《自然·通讯》《Nature Communications）上发表题为《Microbiomes in the Challenger Deep slope and bottom-axis sediments》的文章。
2022年，张正华团队在国际知名期刊《自然∙通讯》（Nature Communications）上发表题为《Angstrom-confined catalytic water purification within Co-TiOx laminar membrane nanochannels》的文章。
2022年，杨诚团队在《自然通讯》（Nature Communications）期刊上发表题为《A method for quantitatively separating the piezoelectric component from the as-received “Piezoelectric” signal》的文章。
2022年，黄来强教授团队在《自然·植物》（Nature Plants）上发表题为《Genomes of leafy and leafless Platanthera orchids illuminate the evolution of mycoheterotrophy》的文章。
