On the evening of October 11, Tsinghua SIGS held its annual Welcome Gala for new students. This was the first time that the event was staged outdoors at the Athletic Field. Dance and singing performances, musicals and plays filled the night, captivating students and faculty members that joined the event.
The event was divided into three parts, each with a specific theme and with lucky draw sessions. As the year 2020 marks the 40th anniversary of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, performances also highlighted the growth and advancement of SIGS together with the city of Shenzhen.

The Welcome Gala brought 17 energetic and engaging performances to the audience, making it a memorable night for many of us. The annual event celebrates the newest cohort of students as they grow together, and start a brand new journey at SIGS and Shenzhen.
