Research Group Introduction
Research fields of this group cover sensors, measurement and controlling. There are wide topics ranging from frontier study to industrial applications, including analytical instrumentation, precision optical metrology, micro-nano optics, MEMS, computational imaging, optical microscopy, LED, wearable devices, soft robotics, computer vision and machine learning, and so forth.
In the past five years, we have been granted fundings of more than 120 million RMB and published around 300 pieces of papers, proceedings, patents on world-wide recognized international journals, such as Science Robotics, Advanced Functional Materials, Remote Sensing of Environment, IEEE TIE and Analytical Chemistry.
We have 12 full-time faculty and 8 of them have experiences in international studying and research. We have a total of over 200 Master’s and PhD students and post-doc members. Currently, we have 3 international students from Mexico, Canada, and USA. We also have 3 international alumni in the past five years.
Scholarships
At present, Tsinghua University mainly provides the following scholarships for outstanding prospective full-time international graduate students.
Candidates can apply for Chinese Government Scholarship via Tsinghua University or embassy in your home country.
Admitted students will have opportunities to apply for Tuition Scholarship which will cover full or partial of their tuition.
SIGS also offers different assistantship for outstanding students: teaching assistant and research assistant.
In addition, for outstanding students, our research group will provide financial aid package that cover more than half of the tuition and accommodation fee.
