On December 15, 2024, the “2nd Pick Me Up, International Career and Internship Fair” was held at Shenzhen University Town. The event was hosted by the Nanshan District People's Government and organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of Nanshan District CPC Committee and the Taoyuan Sub-district Office. The fair aimed to provide high-quality internship and employment opportunities for both domestic and international students, especially targeting international students and foreign talents. It also sought to promote the gathering and exchange of international talents in the Greater Bay Area. Vice Dean Zuo Jian'e and Director of the Global Affairs Office Ma Zhenyi attended the event.

In recent years, the Global Affairs Office and the Taoyuan Sub-district Office have maintained close cooperation in areas such as cross-cultural exchange, internships and employment opportunities for international students, and supporting the internationalization of Shenzhen’s neighborhoods. During the award ceremony at the fair, Vice Dean Zuo Jian'e accepted the “International Cultural Exchange Innovation & Training Base” plaque from the Taoyuan Sub-district Office on behalf of the Tsinghua SIGS. This marks the beginning of further collaboration between the two parties in the fields of international education and cultural exchange.
Speech by Tsinghua SIGS Graduate Aleksandr Tsoy
At the event, Aleksandr Tsoy, a graduate from Uzbekistan and a former international student of Tsinghua SIGS, delivered a speech, sharing his successful employment experience in Shenzhen with the help of the Global Affairs Office, and expressing his positive outlook for future development in the city.
This career fair not only expanded employment channels for SIGS international students but also highlighted the school’s efforts and achievements in international education and cultural exchange. Looking ahead, Tsinghua SIGS will continue to work closely with relevant partners to actively promote the cultivation and exchange of international talents in Shenzhen, supporting the growth and development of outstanding individuals with a global vision in this innovative and dynamic city.
