Published:2025.09.20

From September 6 to 7, the 2nd International Conference on Carbon Neutrality (ICCN 2025) was held in Shanghai. The conference received over 170 submissions from more than ten countries, and brought together more than 200 experts and scholars in the low-carbon field to discuss cutting-edge carbon neutrality technologies and policies.

A total of two first prizes and six second prizes for Best Oral Presentation, along with two Best Poster awards, were presented at the conference. Gu Yuhang, a Ph.D. student, and Sun Jiayu, a master’s student, from the research team of Tsinghua SIGS Associate Professor Yin Zhenyuan, attended the conference and delivered oral presentations titled Feasibility Analysis of Long-Term Hydrate-Based CO₂ Sequestration in South China Sea Marine Sediments and Formulating CO₂-in-H₂O Emulsions for Enhanced CO₂ Hydrate Kinetics, respectively. After multiple rounds of expert evaluation, Gu Yuhang was awarded the first prize for Best Oral Presentation.
