On November 24, a delegation led by Liu Bilu, Associate Dean of Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (SIGS), visited ADA University of Azerbaijan to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement, inked between Prof. Liu and ADA Vice Rector Gunay Ziyadova, aims to strengthen bilateral collaboration in student/faculty exchanges, joint research programs, dual-degree initiatives, and summer school exchanges.
At the meeting, ADA University highlighted its progress and distinctive programs in fields like computer science, while the Tsinghua SIGS delegation outlined its own development path, academic structure, research focuses, and graduate admissions. They also expressed openness to hosting more outstanding students and faculty from ADA University for exchange programs in Shenzhen.
Both sides agreed to establish an educational partnership under the Belt and Road Initiative, leveraging ADA’s position as Azerbaijan’s leading technology-focused university and SIGS’ expertise in cutting-edge technologies.
During the visit, the SIGS delegation presented ADA with a traditional Tsinghua paper-cut lantern symbolizing “illuminating friendship through academic collaboration”. Both sides agreed to build on this partnership, deepening exchanges and fostering an open, collaborative academic community under the Belt and Road Initiative.
As a leading university in Azerbaijan, ADA University excels in fields such as computer science, engineering, public policy, and international relations, serving as a key educational platform for the country’s engagement with the Belt and Road Initiative.
