On the morning of December 10, a delegation from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), led by Vice President Juliane Winkelmann, visited Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (Tsinghua SIGS).
The two sides held in-depth discussions on further solidifying the partnership, advancing the development of the TUM Shenzhen Office, and expanding multi-faceted cooperation.
At the meeting, Fu Haohuan, Associate Dean of Tsinghua SIGS, delivered a welcome speech, and Zhang Yi, Director of the Office of Global Affairs, introduced the discipline development and international cooperation initiatives of Tsinghua SIGS.
Professor Winkelmann stated that the establishment of the TUM Shenzhen Office marks a significant milestone, deepening the cooperation from a project-based model to an institutionalized, platform-based model.

During the exchange session, faculty members from various Tsinghua SIGS institutes engaged in thorough discussions with the TUM delegation, exploring topics such as joint research platform development, the optimization of student exchange mechanisms, and potential project collaborations.
Following the meeting, the delegation toured the TUM Shenzhen Office and attended its inauguration ceremony. Both sides believed that the office's establishment not only provides a physical presence but also signifies a major step toward long-term, deepened cooperation between Tsinghua SIGS and TUM.

Both sides agreed to leverage the Shenzhen Office as a pivotal platform to collaboratively build an innovative model for Sino-German higher education and research collaboration, injecting new momentum into technological and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
