2 Tsinghua SIGS Professors Named 2026 IEEE Fellows

Professors Fu Haohuan and Ercan E. Kuruoğlu from the Institute of Data and Information (iDl) at Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (Tsinghua SIGS) have been named to the 2026 class of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) Fellows. 


Prof. Fu has made significant contributions to the development of highly efficient and scalable simulation software on emerging heterogeneous supercomputers, driving advancements in parallelization, optimization methods, and tools.


His work manages to make tens of millions of cores fully utilized for applications across a range of domains, including atmospheric simulation, seismic modeling, molecular dynamics, and quantum circuit simulation. His contributions focus primarily on parallelization methods, optimization methods, and migration tools. 


Kuruoğlu has been a Full Professor at Tsinghua SIGS since 2022. His research interests are in the areas of statistical signal and image processing, Bayesian machine learning with applications in remote sensing, environmental sciences, telecommunications and computational biology.
