During the visit to UM on Dec. 4, the delegation attended an academic seminar and a sharing session to facilitate discussions and exchanges with UM students. The session included an introduction to Tsinghua SIGS and overview of iEE delivered by Associate Professor Yu Longfei, Assistant Dean of iEE, followed by a student-led presentation of their study experiences at Tsinghua SIGS.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Alex Ong Zhi Chao, Deputy Dean of Postgraduate Studies at UM, alongside faculty representatives from the Department of Chemical Engineering.

The two sides held an exchange seminar, engaging in in-depth discussions focused primarily on the Dual Degree Master’s Program in Environmental Engineering offered jointly by the two institutions. Key areas of discussion included student recruitment, talent cultivation, academic support, and scientific research exchange.

Moving forward, both institutions aim to systemically implement the agreements reached during the seminar, ensuring the smooth operation of the collaborative programs and facilitating two-way student mobility.
