A delegation from Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, led by Vice President Palanee Ammaranond, visited Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (Tsinghua SIGS) on Feb. 25.
The delegation expressed its expectation to deepen cooperation with Tsinghua SIGS in regional sustainable development and sci-tech innovation.
During the visit, the delegation toured laboratories at the Institute of Data and Information (iDI) and learned about the school’s advanced research achievements.

At the exchange session, Fu Haohuan, Associate Dean of Tsinghua SIGS, delivered a welcoming address. Zhang Yi, Director of the Office of Global Affairs, introduced the school’s educational philosophy, disciplinary structure, research achievements, and international collaboration. Faculty representatives from the Institute of Future Human Habitats, iDI, and the Institute of Biopharmaceutical and Health Engineering then presented their respective research areas.
Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on a range of potential areas for collaboration, including AI-enabled innovation, smart city development, biomedical research, and interdisciplinary talent cultivation. They also reached consensus on signing memoranda of understanding, establishing regular student exchange mechanisms, promoting faculty exchanges, and advancing joint research initiatives.

The meeting laid a solid foundation for further collaboration. Looking ahead, both sides will continue to expand cooperation in talent cultivation, scientific research, and industrial innovation, jointly leveraging the strengths of higher education institutions to help build a more stable and sustainable China–Thailand relationship.
