On Sept. 11, a delegation from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), led by its Vice President Susana Mourato, visited Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (Tsinghua SIGS).

During the meeting, Tsinghua SIGS Dean Ouyang Zheng outlined the school’s academic portfolio, talent development initiatives and internationalization efforts, and expressed hope for broader research collaboration and academic exchanges with LSE.
Mourato reviewed the longstanding foundation of cooperation and voiced her hope that they would further strengthen their strategic partnership and broaden the scope and forms of collaboration.
The two sides then held discussions on deepening strategic cooperation, advancing collaboration in research and talent development, and expanding faculty and student exchanges.
Both sides agreed that they are well positioned to collaborate on interdisciplinary research, globally oriented talent development, and global innovation. Moving forward, the two sides will explore new areas of collaboration in research and teaching, establish more direct communication channels, and bring more joint initiatives in talent development, academic exchanges and research to fruition.
The meeting further strengthened ties between SIGS and LSE. Drawing on their respective disciplinary strengths and specialized platforms, the two institutions will maintain close communication and jointly advance cooperation in education, research and innovation.
