From Aug. 31 to Sept. 4, a delegation from Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (Tsinghua SIGS), led by Vice Dean Zuo Jian’e, visited universities in Poland and Greece to further expand its global network and deepen international cooperation.
During the trip, Tsinghua SIGS and Gdańsk University of Technology (Gdańsk Tech) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), marking a new stage in their cooperation.

At Gdańsk Tech, the delegation held talks with Vice Rector for Research Dariusz Mikielewicz and other representatives. The two sides signed the MoU to explore potential collaboration in joint research, reciprocal visits by researchers and faculty members, student exchanges, joint academic seminars, and to build a long-term and stable platform for academic dialogue.

Founded in 1904, Gdańsk Tech is one of the oldest universities in Poland. Gdańsk Tech is recognized as an institution that creates one of the best working and development conditions for researchers in Europe. Since its establishment, it has been educating world-class engineers in various areas of science and technology, according to its official website.
The delegation also visited the Athens University of Economics and Business and the National Technical University of Athens in Greece, engaging in in-depth discussions on interdisciplinary joint research, faculty academic visits, short-term joint training programs for students, and student exchanges.

The visit further expanded the global partner network of Tsinghua SIGS and laid a solid foundation for faculty and student exchanges, joint cultivation programs, and collaborative research and innovation.
