The Global Competence Center (GCC) is affiliated to the Graduate Student Office of Tsinghua SIGS. The center aims to actively expand students’ international horizons and enhance global competence through lectures, forums, workshops, cross-cultural sharing, international organization exploration, language communication and other projects.
1. World Knowledge and Global issues
Students explore global issues and gain knowledge of world history and culture.
2. Language and Cross-cultural Empathy
Students master basic communication skills in UN official languages such as Spanish and French to improve communication with people from different cultural backgrounds and enhance cross-cultural empathy.
1. Dive in International Organizations
Students learn about international organizations through training programs, sharing sessions and mock interviews. Through these activities, they gain an greater sense of responsibility for international affairs.
2. Overseas Social Practice
We support students' overseas research and practice, encourage them to expand their international horizons, and strengthen their sense of social responsibility.

Through study, research and lectures, students will learn how to tell Chinese stories well in English, and build cultural confidence.
2. Mentor Partnership Program
We provide a communication and learning platform for domestic and international students to explore global issues and gain multicultural perspectives while respecting cultural differences.

The program expands students’ international horizon and global mindset, strengthen their ability to communicate with experts, opinion leaders, and scholars around the world in an immersive learning environment.
2. Leadership Development Program
Students develop leadership skills through peer mentor groups, international organization training, and visits to top universities.
