From May 7 to 17, Tsinghua SIGS carried out online reexaminations for its domestic applicants. These are offered for students who have met requirements in the preliminary round, and allows interviewers to comprehensively evaluate their background, research experience and other aspects through an online interview.
This marks the first year that Tsinghua SIGS is enrolling students independently. Offering 20 Master’s programs this fall, the school plans to admit 620 students from 1654 applicants. More than 940 students participated in the reexamination, including 24 students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
Students were contacted individually in advance to ensure that they are familiar with details of the online interview, and to provide assistance if they face any difficulty.
