    The Master’s Program in Electronic Information (Electronics and Communication Engineering) covers disciplines such as Information and Communication Engineering and Electronic Science and Technology. Areas of research include wireless communication, signal processing, image processing, computer vision, information security, collaborative Internet of things, big data analytics, driverless system, medical artificial intelligence, integrated circuit design (analog, RF, digital, mixed analog digital) and others.


    What will I learn? 

    The master’s program aims to cultivate high-level professional talents with career competency.

    Objectives include 

    1) An enterprising spirit;

    2) Mastery of basic theories and specialized knowledge, high proficiency in one foreign language, and market economy knowledge;

    3) theoretical and experimental research methods of modern engineering technology;

    4) strong organization skills, communication skills and the ability to lead technical work independently.


    The program has established professional practice bases with many leading domestic enterprises in electronic information. The program nurtures talents with innovative minds, practical ability and international vision. We encourage and support various types of international exchanges such as participation in international conferences, visiting and exchanges in oversea top universities.


    Our students have won awards such as the “National Winner of excellent practice achievement for Master of Engineering”, Excellent doctoral dissertations and master theses on the university-level, and excellent master’s graduate of Tsinghua University and Beijing City.


    Research 

    In recent years, our faculty members have led more than 100 major projects sponsored by National Key R&D Programs, Major Programs of National Natural Science Foundation of China, International Science & Technology Cooperation Programs, various science and technology projects at the provincial and municipal levels, as well as enterprises and public institutions.


    Our papers have been published in top journals such as IEEE COMST, COMMAG, TWC, SPMAG, and flagship international conferences, such as the International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV), Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR), International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing (ICASSP) and others. We have also won best paper awards of many international academic conferences.


    Future Careers 

    We are proud of our alumni achievements. Some graduates have gone on to other leading universities such as Stanford, University of California, Columbia, Duke, Imperial College London and Queen Mary University of London.


    Many are employed by major public institutions, or high-tech enterprises and research institutions such as the Institute of Aerospace Science and Technology, Huawei, Google, Alibaba, Tencent, Baidu, SenseTime, Megvii and DJI. Some of also started their own business.


    Faculty 

    The program has excellent faculty members and research conditions. Most have study or research experience in overseas top universities and possess rich teaching experience and fruitful research achievements.

    Research interests: image/video processing algorithms and systems, and their applications, especially in television broadcast, medical image, remote sensing image, image/video communication, sport/industrial video, etc.

    Research interests: wireless communication and networking, information and signal processing, visible light communication, information theory, optimization theory, machine learning, etc.

    Associate Prof. Feng Haigang

    Research interests: IC design, wireless communication system and design, and etc. Interests focus but not limited on low power, multi-band, RFIC design, MMIC design, analog and mixed signal IC design, SoC, Electromagnetic Compatibility, build in self calibration, RFIC ESD protection.

    Research interests: Design on integrated circuits for intelligent medical and IoT systems, focusing on low power digital signal processing and microprocessor design, 3-D image processing and circuit implementation, wireless energy transferring and battery charging, power management, etc.
