On November 20th, the 15th Shenzhen University Town Sports Tournament concluded at the University Town Stadium.

Almost a hundred faculty and students from Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (Tsinghua SIGS) participated in various sports competitions, and Guan Tian, CPC Committee Deputy Secretary, attended the event.

Our athletes gave their all on the track and field, staying true to the Tsinghua motto of “Without sports, there is no Tsinghua.” SIGS athletes won runner-up in the men’s 4x100m relay, and the school was also awarded Best Organization Award.

The next University Town Sports Tournament in fall of 2021 will be hosted by Tsinghua SIGS. At the closing ceremony, Guan Tian received the flag on behalf of the school.

The 15th Shenzhen University Town Sports Tournament was organized by the Shenzhen University Town Management Office, and hosted by Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School. The event brought together over ten higher education institutions in the University Town area, and provided rich and diverse sports activities for faculty and students. Tsinghua SIGS will promote and strengthen the sports spirit, develop an active sports culture, and organize an exciting event for the University Town as the proud hosts of the tournament next year.
