On November 16th, the Open Day event of the 2024 X-Lake Forum was held in Shenzhen University Town. As an inaugural grand event of the X-Lake Forum, this activity aimed to break the boundaries between academia and the public, jointly explore the mysteries of science, create a city without boundaries, and endow the X-Lake Sciensity with more possibilities.

The key laboratories and major scientific and technological infrastructure within Shenzhen University Town were opened to the public, attracting a large number of people who love science to come for a visit. They not only had the opportunity to get in close contact with advanced scientific research equipment and research results, but also gained a deep understanding of the charm and significance of scientific research by participating in lively activities.

Students from Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School, Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School, and Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen, gathered together and presented a wonderful performance. The performance not only demonstrated the versatile aspects of the students but also highlighted the colorful campus cultures of the three schools.

The “Open Day” event specially customized three immersive in-depth tour routes for the three schools. Each route carefully selected and designed abundance of experience attractions and practical activities, enabling the public to have a deeper understanding of the unique culture and spiritual outlook of the university town and feel the charm of different schools during the tours.

This “Open Day” event not only provided the public with a platform for communication and interaction with the academic community, it also further promoted the development of the integration of the schools and the city in the X-Lake Sciensity. In the future, the X-Lake Forum will continue to adhere to the concept of openness, innovation, and sharing, make greater contributions to promoting scientific and technological innovation and talent cultivation, and jointly create a vibrant and innovative city without boundaries.
