Intelligent Manufacturing
Program Overview
The Intelligent Manufacturing degree program is a pilot project of Tsinghua University to deepen the comprehensive reform of professional degree postgraduate education and is led by the group of Advanced Manufacturing at Tsinghua SIGS. The program is also associated with the double degree program between Tsinghua University and RWTH Aachen University, Germany.
Program Research
The program has excellent faculty and scientific research conditions. There are seventeen teachers with education or research backgrounds in famous universities. In recent years, teachers have undertaken dozens of projects, such as the National Science and Technology Major Project, National Key R&D Program of China, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Fundamental Research Program of Shenzhen, and projects entrusted by enterprises and institutions.
Who Can Apply
The Electronic and Information Engineering (Intelligent Manufacturing) master's program and the Mechanical Engineering (Intelligent Manufacturing) master's program are open to undergraduates with science and engineering majors who have a strong interest in mechanical engineering. Research directions include analytical instrument technology, micro-nano processing technology, flexible sensors and actuators, optical precision measurement, optical system design and implementation (lighting, imaging, display), plant factory, information processing in instrument science, intelligent manufacturing and precision machining technology (precision and ultra-precision machining, intelligent monitoring, intelligent design, battery management, green manufacturing, surface engineering, etc.), bio-manufacturing technology (advanced medical/biological equipment, intelligent devices, organ chips, etc.), and other related fields.
