  • Biography

    I am an Assistant Professor in Control Science and Engineering at the Institute for Ocean Engineering, Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (SIGS), Tsinghua University. Before joining Tsinghua, I held faculty positions as an Assistant Professor at Queen's University Belfast (2024–2026) and as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge (2022–2024), working with Prof. Ioannis Brilakis. My current research interests lie at the intersection of computer vision, deep learning, and marine engineering, with a focus on underwater vision, video understanding, and digital twin technologies.

    I received my Ph.D. degree from the Department of Automation, Tsinghua University, under the joint supervision of Prof. Jiwen Lu, Prof. Xiu Li, and Prof. Jie Zhou. My research has been recognized with several honors, including the the Excellent Doctorate Dissertation Award from the Shenzhen Association for Artificial Intelligence (2023, 3 awardees annually).

  • Research Interests

    My research focuses on computer vision and deep learning for intelligent perception and digital twins in marine engineering. Key directions include:

    · Underwater Vision: Low-quality image enhancement, object detection for underwater robots and marine monitoring;

    · Video Understanding & Retrieval: video anomaly localization, scalable visual retrieval for open-world scenarios (including underwater/port environments);

    · Digital Twin: Point-cloud-based geometric reconstruction and condition monitoring of marine structures.

    Selected Achievements: 20+ papers in TPAMI, CVPR, ICCV, etc.; 600+ citations;
