    For biomedical applications, optical techniques that are based on the intrinsic optical properties of biological tissues, such as light scattering, absorption, polarization and fluorescence, have many advantages over conventional x-ray computed tomography, MRI and ultrasound imaging techniques in terms of safety, cost, contrast and resolution features. In the past several years, I have directed my team towards developing optical imaging and sensing methods, techniques, instrumentations and biomedical applications. these techniques include Optical coherence tomography, Quantum weak measurement bio-sensing, Surface plasmon resonance, Fluorescence spectroscopic imaging for liquid biochip multiplex sensing.
