Dr. Ni is currently an Associate Professor at Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School, a graduate supervisor for Interdisciplinary Studies in Positive Psychology and Electronic Information, Director of the Guangdong Digital Mental Health and Intelligent Generation Laboratory, Co-PI of the Big Data Laboratory at the Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen Institute, Deputy Director of the Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Next-Generation Interactive Media Technology. He currently intertest in the fields of AI Psychology, Digital Mental Health, Emotional Computing, et al.

Dr. Ni primarily focuses on social and health psychology, positive psychological technology, and social psychological policy. Using a range of methods—including behavioral experiments, longitudinal time-series analysis, psychometric assessment and intervention, behavioral big data, and virtual reality technologies—he examines individual behavior and organizational issues. His research covers areas such as occupational health psychology (OHP), healthy organizations, the psychological development of migrant populations, student mental health promotion, and structural social development issues in Shenzhen.
