  • Biography

    Su Yang is an associate professor at Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School, China. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2013. After obtaining his Ph.D., Dr. Su worked with Prof. Rahul R. Nair as a postdoc research associate in the Condensed Matter Physics Group and later in the National Graphene Institute at the University of Manchester from 2013 to 2019. From June 2019 to April 2021, Dr. Su was a lecturer at the Materials department at Loughborough University, UK.

     

    His research interests are (1) to understand the processing and structure of two-dimensional material based thin films and membranes; (2) to study the molecular and ionic transport in these thin films and membranes; (3) to explore the environmental applications of these thin films and membranes, especially in water purification and desalination technologies.
