Introduction to Oceanography
My main research interest focuses on ocean fluid dynamic processes and their applications in ocean engineering, utilizing a combination of mathematical equations, observational data, and numerical simulations. It primarily includes these areas:
1. Ocean Dynamic Processes in the Northern South China Sea: Pearl River Estuary fresh water, current and ecological coupling processes in Dapeng Bay, and internal waves in the northern South China Sea.
2. Typhoon-Related Processes: Storm surges, near-inertial motions, the impact of typhoons on ocean engineering, and improvements in typhoon forecasting.
3. Offshore Wind Farms: The influence of wind farms on the ocean-atmosphere system, evolution mechanisms and control methods of wind turbine wakes.
4. Numerical Simulation Algorithms: Integrating basic algorithms with artificial intelligence to improve and develop ocean-atmosphere numerical models.
I am a PI for Shenzhen Major Program, and co-PIs for National Basic Research Program (973) and National Key R&D Program of China. Over 40 journal papers have been published.
