主要从事图像处理、计算机视觉、深度学习与人工智能领域的研究,具体包括视觉增强复原、视觉目标感知、视觉三维重建、医学人工智能、深度学习、强化学习、多模态大模型(基座、幻觉、思维链、AIGC评测、垂域应用)等。作为责任教授,牵头创建全国首个大模型科学与工程全日制硕士项目。作为负责人承担国家重点研发计划子课题、国家自然科学基金-青年基金、面上基金、英国皇家学会国际合作交流基金、博士后科学基金、广东省自然科学基金、深圳市基础研究面上项目、重点项目、产业技术攻关重点项目、校内青年科研基金、学科交叉基金、海外合作基金,以及与包括华为、大疆、电网在内的行业龙头企业的技术委托开发/合作项目数十项。近年来,在Nature Communications、IEEE TPAMI、TSPM、TIP、TNNLS、TCSVT、TMM、TSMC、JBHI、Pattern Recognition等著名国际期刊和IEEE/CVF ICCV、CVPR、AAAI、ICML、ICLR、ACM Multimedia、ICASSP、MACCAI等著名国际会议发表学术论文近200余篇,Google学术总引用7500余,ESI高被引论文2篇、热点论文1篇。作为客座主编与国内外同行共同组织出版著名国际期刊Neurocomputing和Signal Processing:Image Communication专刊两本。申请发明专利20余项,专利技术成果转化多项,取得显著经济效益。
